New Versions of iHRIS Software Strengthen Management of Health Workforce Information

CapacityPlus has released new versions of its iHRIS Manage and iHRIS Qualify software.

  • iHRIS Manage is designed for managing the health workforce—a Ministry of Health, district health office, or health care facility can use it to manage and analyze information about employed health workers and applicants.
  • iHRIS Qualify helps with tracking health workers’ training, licensure, and certification information—a nursing council, for example, can use it to track and analyze data on all nurses in the country.

New Article Identifies Gaps and Opportunities in Ugandan Health System Using iHRIS Software

Last month, Human Resources for Health published “Tracking and monitoring the health workforce: A new human resources information system (HRIS) in Uganda,” which identifies trends and gaps in the Ugandan health worker training system. Read more »

Work Climate Article Selected for Health Development Collection

In Kenya, the Capacity Project (the predecessor to CapacityPlus) worked with the Ministry of Health to pilot simple, low-cost interventions to improve the workplace environment in 10 rural facilities. A story related to this work—“What about the health workers?”: Improving the work climate at rural facilities in Kenya—has been selected for inclusion in issue 11 of the eTALC Health Development CD-ROM.
