ScholasScholastica Williamstica Williams, IntraHealth International, HRH Advisor, Botswana
Scholastica Williams is a seasoned development worker with 20 years of experience. Prior to joining CapacityPlus/Botswana, she served as the national director in Zambia for the New Partner Initiative (NPI), a PEPFAR initiative created to develop the capacity of indigenous nongovernmental organizations to fight HIV/AIDS. She oversaw project performance management, organizational development, and capacity-building, and managed six local partners in four provinces with extended support to the NPI program across East, West, and Southern Africa. Previously at NPI, she was responsible for NPI technical assistance in Ethiopia and Uganda and was based in Addis Ababa. She is a Botswana citizen, with experience working in Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Namibia, Mozambique, and Ivory Coast. She has worked as a private consultant for research, evaluations, training, and implementing participatory development methods.
