Abbie Heffelfinger, IntraHealth International, Program Specialist
Abbie Heffelfinger is a global health specialist with over six years of experience and education, focusing on international development and community-based public health interventions in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa. For CapacityPlus, she provides operational support for workforce effectiveness to improve retention and productivity. Prior to joining IntraHealth, Heffelfinger worked for CHOSA, a small NGO in Cape Town, South Africa, to strengthen the capacity of child-centered community-based organizations and to direct after-school programs throughout Cape Town’s townships. She previously worked with Save the Children in Uganda on community-based distribution of contraceptives in the central postconflict districts.
