Digital Library on Health Workforce Information Continues Strong Growth

The HRH Global Resource CenterCapacityPlus’s digital library devoted to human resources for health (HRH) issues in developing countries—has expanded to include over 2,500 resources. It is the largest collection of its kind in the world.

Health students in MaliAn average of 47,000 users from over 170 countries visit this site each month. A significant percentage of users are located in the 57 countries cited by the World Health Organization as facing a health worker crisis.

In the past year, subscribers to the HRH Global Resource Center’s newsletter grew from approximately 300 to 750. This monthly update provides information on the latest resources, improvements, and news.

A new overview brief provides a quick summary of the site’s features and benefits. Currently the HRH Global Resource Center is developing eLearning courses and interactive features to help health workers and other HRH practitioners in the field.
