iHRIS Implementation Stories

Botswana: The Ministry of Health of Botswana is deploying iHRIS Manage to help develop a clear and complete picture of its health workforce. The system will be shared among several departments who need to use health workforce data for decision-making. Read more about our work in Botswana.

India: In India, the state governments of Bihar and Jharkhand are piloting iHRIS Manage to improve the management and effectiveness of the health workforce. Read more about our work in India.

Lesotho: The Lesotho Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and it's delivery partner, the Christian Health Association of Lesotho, are using iHRIS Manage to access information on health workers and to aggregate data into meaningful reports. Read more about our work in Lesotho.

Tanzania

Tanzania Mainland: In Tanzania Mainland, stakeholders from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, local government, and faith-based organizations are teaming up to share health workforce information. The Christian Social Services Commission is implementing iHRIS Manage to aggregate health workforce data from its five zonal offices, while the Prime Minister's Office of Regional and Local Government is also implementing the system and rolling it out to district health offices and to the entire public sector. Zanzibar: Zanzibar's Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is implementing iHRIS Manage at the central level and modifying it to meet its needs. Read more about our work in Zanzibar.

Uganda: Uganda's four professional health councils implemented iHRIS Qualify to track all qualified health professionals in the country. The councils produce routine reports and share them with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Health is implementing iHRIS Manage and rolling it out to the District Health Offices. Read more about our work in Uganda.

West Africa: In a new regional and local partnership approach, CapacityPlus supports the West African Health Organization (WAHO) to strengthen health workforce information in the region and implement the iHRIS software in interested countries. Currently, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, and Togo are implementing iHRIS.
