Chris DeeryChristopher Deery, IntraHealth International, Health Workforce Development Officer
Christopher Deery has over nine years of programmatic and research experience in global health, with a focus on maternal and child health and HIV/AIDS. He has extensive experience working with local communities in resource-constrained settings, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, to design and manage innovative public health programs. In his current role with CapacityPlus, Christopher provides technical support to graduate tracking, community-based education, and eLearning activities under the Medical Education Partnership Initiative. Prior to joining IntraHealth, Christopher served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger (2003–2005), worked in the Bureau for Global Health at USAID, and managed a tuberculosis and HIV operational research study for the Wits Health Consortium in Johannesburg, South Africa. Christopher holds an MPH in maternal and child health from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health.
